About Elizabeth Sherry, M.S., L.P.C.

Elizabeth and her husband have lived in Waco for 34 years, and have two grown children and one grandson. She has been counseling for over 15 years, and sees clients young and old—from age 7 and up.
She was born in Oklahoma, and received a Bachelors in Fine Arts in Drama from the University of Oklahoma. From the mid-­80’s to early 90’s she served as director of religious education for her church, which led to her returning to school to obtain a Masters in Educational Psychology at Baylor University, and became a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has a strong background in abuse issues as well as in depression, anxiety, and family concerns, and is a Certified Therapist in EMDR for trauma resolution, Before being one of the founders of Elizabeth Sherry, LPC at Journey Counseling Waco in 2002 she previously worked with the Family Abuse Center and Hillcrest Samaritan Counseling Center, in Waco. Her Christian faith is the underpinning for her world view and her work.
She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and EMDR International Association.
